Let Stratagem Rx help stretch your production dollar. Between exchange rates and the Provincial and Federal tax credits, our team of financial and tax experts can maximize your Canadian Eligible Spend.

Ontario offers fully refundable tax credits to both foreign and domestic productions, with no annual or pre-project caps. Foreign (service) productions are eligible for a 16% federal rebate on Canadian labour and a provincial rebate of 21.5% on Ontario expenditures. Domestic projects, including treaty co-productions, are eligible for a 25% federal + 35% provincial tax credit on qualifying Canadian labour.

In addition to the production tax credits, there is a 20% computer animation and special effects tax credit on qualifying labour on top of the provincial credit of 21.5% or 35%.

Stratagem Rx can also bring private and public equity investments of up to $2 million per project. Certified international treaty co-productions can benefit from even higher levels of financing sources. On top of any equity we can leverage soft money and higher levels of tax rebates and post tax credits.
