The Desperate Hour

Naomi Watts and director Phillip Noyce joined forces for the thriller The Desperate Hour, filmed in the fall of 2020. The film, written by Chris Sparling and produced by Stratagem Rx and Limelight, Boies/Schiller, Untapped explores motherhood in the age of ubiquitous gun violence and school shootings. The Desperate Hour had its world premiere at TIFF 2021. Variety calls Noyce “a master of the genre”, and Watts’ performance is hailed a “masterclass performance” by The Playlist.

Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin star as a family struggling for survival in this Ric Roman Waugh-directed natural disaster movie. The film was produced by STX Films, Anton, Thunder Road Pictures, and G-Base, in association with Riverstone Pictures.
